Responsibilities:
Overall responsibilities are to support Propulsion Engineering for purchases of Machining, Castings, Forgings, and Fabricated Parts. This includes:
o Develop and proactively manage schedule tracker tools for open orders.
o Coordinate with engineering to ensure suppliers have updated prints.
o Coordinate receiving, documentation, and invoice issues and promptly escalate issue to Buyer as needed for resolution options/assistance.
o Track and retrieve order acknowledgements.
o Update PO's with current delivery information.
o Expedite components as needed to keep production lines running in conjunction with Buyer.
o Work with Production Control to ensure current delivery dates will support production needs.
o Develop relationships with suppliers in order to resolve delivery and quality concerns.
o Conduct regular teleconferences with suppliers on appropriate basis to track deliveries, issues, and concerns.
o Coordinate vendor returns through all departments.
o Manage aging PO's (work with vendor to understand what PO's are old and should be closed).
o Focal for accounts payable issues.
REQUIRED
Experience:
o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Required.
ADDITIONAL
Experience:
o Remarkable problem solving skills.
o Strong technical knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications, especially MS Office Suite.
o Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
o Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs.
o Excellent customer service skills.
o Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
o Conducts all activities with the highest of integrity.
